Snacks and Treats

CHOCOLATE

Simply mix some raw cacao with melted coconut oil and stevia, then leave in the fridge to solidify. If you have cacao butter, this is even tastier! If you prefer a creamier treat, put coconut milk in the fridge until the cream solidifies from the water; scoop it out; mix it with cacao and stevia; re-fridge until desired!

ICE CREAM

Simply popping a banana on a stick and freezing it makes a delicious ice-cream-lolly treat.

If you prefer a slightly different taste, put coconut milk in the fridge until the cream solidifies from the water; scoop it out; mix it with mashed banana and acai berry powder, then freeze until desired!

FRUIT BOWL

Seasonal fruit is great for grounding your body back to your regional environment. These local foods will also resonate with your own electromagnetic field.

MOUSSE

Simply blend avocado with some cacao and stevia, then allow some time to set in the fridge.

HUMMUS AND GUACAMOLE

For hummus, blend chickpeas with lemon, garlic, paprika, cumin, olive oil and salt.

For guacamole, mash an avocado with garlic/ wild garlic and salt. If available, fresh basil leaves and leek also make this more flavorsome, as does tomato.

Cut up some carrot, cucumber and celery and enjoy some tasty dipping!

PANCAKES

Stir some sprouted spelt flour with baking powder, chia seeds, cinnamon and coconut milk. Fry in some coconut oil then serve with organic maple syrup!

NUT BALLS

Blend up 100g of mixed nuts with 50g of raisins, dates or sultanas and a pinch of salt. Roll into balls then leave in the fridge until you feel like a delicious snack.

COCONUT BALLS (also ketogenic)

Mix together around 400ml of coconut milk with 120g of coconut flakes (desiccated coconut), 10g of coconut flour and 1/2 teaspoon of stevia. Roll into desired shape (I tend to make balls). These can be eaten as they are or warmed in the oven to solidify the shape. MCT oil can also be added for extra calories!

ALMOND FLOUR

If your gut isn’t sensitive to nuts, then almond flour can be a life safer for ketogenic days or as a healthier substitute for flour. It can be mixed with water and coconut oil (or cacao butter) for an easy cake that can be sweetened with stevia or fruit (it makes a lovely base for carrot cake!). Ground almonds can also be mixed with cacao butter to make a ‘Cheesecake’ base (mix the solidified part of coconut milk with lemon zest to make the creamy filling). The same ingredients for the ‘Cheesecake’ base can also be mixed with cacao powder to make brownies! Note, though, that almonds (like most nuts, seeds and vegetables) are high in anti-nutrients such as oxalates, so it is important to cycle with these to allow your body detox time.
